CDC Checklist Assists Businesses Planning for Pandemic Flu

Having identified large businesses as playing a key role in protecting employees' health and safety in the event of pandemic influenza (flu), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has made available a checklist to aid businesses in limiting the impact of such an event upon the workforce, economy and society.

The checklist, developed in conjunction with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), identifies specific areas in which large businesses can begin making preparations. These areas include establishing policies, allocating resources, educating employees, coordinating with external organizations and planning for the impact of pandemic flu on business, employees and customers.
